Walks
Come join Chris and me. We will be setting off on Friday morning, driving up to Derbyshire in a minibus at 8:00am on the 28th of June, picking up a small group of 10 (including me and Chris) and camping at the Hollies campsite.
On Friday afternoon, we will be doing the Chrome Hill Parkhouse Hill circular walk, and on Saturday, we will do a Kinder Scout circular walk, driving back on Sunday morning.
Please bring one small tent, sleeping bag, walking boots, a rain jacket, and one backpack, as space is limited. These are beautiful walks and I can’t wait to share them.
Looking forward to meeting you all soon.

I feel this is going to be a great way to connect with one another, sharing the adventure together. I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you on this journey.
A little about Chris Yates:
I first saw Chris doing yoga in the gym and he is not your everyday yoga body. Chris stood out to me back in 2017 and set me on my yoga journey. A guy that won many bodybuilding contests including Junior Mr UK, British Youth Champion, Mr Eastern Counties, Mr Central England, Mr Britain and Mr Hercules (anymore and he would be in Mr men) back in his youth. I found it amazing to see such a muscular guy moving with such grace – being able to do the splits and stand on his head. At the same time! Chris changed his journey from the bodybuilding world when they wanted him to go down another path he did not agree with to compete around the world. He made his transition to well-being as a personal trainer and nutritionist and has practiced for 28 years here in Norwich, well known and well respected in his field. You won’t find him on social media but you may have noticed him practicing in the gym like I did.
It is fair to say that he is an encyclopaedia of knowledge with a huge amount of experience of organising and leading walks and challenges in the hills and mountains of the UK. During the walks, feel free to ask him as many questions that you have about your health and fitness and wellbeing journey. I know that I have learned a lot from him. He has studied neuroanatomy, endocrinology, human psychology and meta physics.
The idea of the walks is to get people talking and connecting with one another. Apart from being a yoga teacher, I work in a clothes shop in the city and I really love talking to lots of different people. I enjoy using my lunch breaks to meet different people all over the city, seeing as many people as I can. I enjoy the experience of hearing what people are doing.
I would like to build strong connections on these walking tours and give the chance to others to do the same. We can go further together on more walks in the future and travel to places such as the Lake District, Scotland, Wales and Europe and finding new challenges.
I believe that many of us are distracted by technology and meaningless endeavours. I think this will be a great way to get back to nature together making new experiences and memories that will enrich our lives.
